Holland State Park

One of Michigan’s most popular beaches! Walk the Black River Boardwalk that lines the channel from Lake Macatawa to Lake Michigan, sit and watch the boats come and go, cast a line and fish, or take a walk out on the pier to catch the perfect sunset. Looking for a great place to camp? Holland State Park offers both wooded and beach access sites, cabin rentals, and RV hookups. Bring your boat because we even have a boat launch! Enjoy swimming, sunbathing and fishing, with modern accommodations, including a concession stand, restrooms and changing area, and a small playground.

Kouw Park

Looking for something smaller and off the beaten path? This local neighborhood park has a small play area, picnic area, restrooms, and a quiet path that leads down to the waterfront. Bring the kids and let them play on the playground while you set up a picnic for lunch. Enjoy a quiet afternoon on the sand with your beach chair, favorite book, and a cool off swim!

Laketown Beach

Located between Holland and Saugatuck, Laketown Beach offers spectacular views of Lake Michigan from a wooden stairway that climbs up and over the dunes to the beach.Β  (The stairway helps protect the fragile dune environment.)Β  Enjoy the inviting sandy Lake Michigan swimming beach and panoramic lake vistas.

Tunnel Park

A picturesque place to watch a sunset, Tunnel Park is named for the concrete tunnel that cuts through a sand dune and provides access to a sparkling Lake Michigan beach. This 22-acre park, with its extensive Lake Michigan beachfront, is a great place for swimming, sunbathing and picnicking. In addition to the unique tunnel through the dune, this park has a children’s playground complete with a dune climb and a dune stairway with scenic views of Lake Michigan. Beach volleyball courts, picnic tables and grills, restrooms, and a great playground make this a very family-friendly beach.
Parking: Tunnel Park is part of the Ottawa County Parks system; there is a per-vehicle parking fee from April 1 to October 31
